Objawienie Jana

Musisz znowu prorokować/przemawiać przed ludźmi, narodami, językami i wieloma królami/politykami…

I’m going to throw you up/vomit you out. A lukewarm person

Objawienie Jana

I know your works, that you are neither cold (5593) nor hot (2200). I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm (5513), and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit (1692) you out of My mouth (4750).” – Revelation 3:15-16.

A cold person is characterized by a lack of strong faith. He believes in God, but does not attach much importance to the principles of faith that Christ gave. The terms: cold, heartless can also mean a person who has lost faith.
A hot person is a true servant of the Most High God and His Son. He has strong faith, works, and a stable, high spiritual level.
A lukewarm person is a servant of God who has been in true faith for a long time. At some point in his life, he became proud and considers himself a very important person, but in fact God will reject him if he does not change his behavior.
Let’s see what are the characteristics of a lukewarm person, i.e. what did he do that God wants to reject him?

Who is a lukewarm person?

For you say, ‘I’m rich (4145); I have become wealthy (4147) and need nothing,’ and you don’t realize that you are wretched, pitiful (4434), poor, blind, and naked.” – Revelation 3:17

Why is a lukewarm person dangerous?
If we base a church or a project on such a person, then
it will develop well, until the moment comes when the lukewarm person will destroy it.
Destruction consists in the gradual weakening of faith, in the haughtiness of
a person. Verse seventeen describes such a person very negatively. He often asks for almsmoney, has no honor, is unhappy and… naked. The general public and the environment sees it…
This is a strong description…
This person will impose his holiness on others, talk about his virtues, about blessings.
In reality, he suffers torments, cannot cope in life, is deprived of honor, Christian virtues, is helpless, incapable of achieving important goals, deprived of intellectual culture. He forces his leadership on his surroundings, scares with faith, Bible verses, he does not know how to
openly discuss.
No one who has open eyes wants to cooperate with such a person.
People leave – they move aside, because only his views count, only his opinion is the most important. Such a person pushes others away from himself when it comes to closer cooperation. He does not allow for other opinions, because he knows everything best.
This is a lukewarm person.

Unstable, pushing others away from himself, introducing his own rules. This is a narcissist, a person full of himself, considering himself a servant of God with many blessings. The worst thing is that this person may believe in his holiness, but does not see how he destroys the surroundings. He does not see his pride, arrogance… he is naked, meaning others see his true face, but he considers himself… a saint…

What’s the advice for a lukewarm person?

I advise you to buy from me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be zealous and repent.” – Revelation 3:18-19.

The punishment for a lukewarm person is severe: being erased from the book of life, meaning God will reject such a person. Therefore, he must correct his mistakes as soon as possible and change completely.
He should put eye salve on his eyes, as the Scripture writes, meaning notice what others say about him in terms of substance, why they draw his attention, why people have complaints about him. He has not seen this until now, he thinks he is being attacked, that the people who draw his attention are wrong. However, he is the one who must open his eyes.
Otherwise, he will be rejected, vomited out, as the Scripture writes. This is a very strong comparison of a lukewarm person to the content of vomit. Vomiting is indigestion of the stomach, it stinks and is an abomination…
And once he was a faithful servant…

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be zealous and repent.” – Revelation 3:19.

The Holy Spirit calls the congregations to repentance

Revelation, from chapter two on, describes seven churches. Some of them are praised, others are criticized. Interestingly, the criticism of the churches is directed not only at the churches themselves, but also at the angel who looks after a given church:

“Write to the angel(messenger) of the church in Ephesus…” – Revelation 2:1.

There are some people in the congregations who have not blemished their spiritual garments, but there are also people who need to correct themselves:

Remember, then, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come upon you. But you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their clothes, and they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.” – Revelation 3:3-4.

There is a great reward for victory. This reward is the wreath of life, or life without disease, without death:

“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown/honor/glory.” – Revelation 3:11.

These instructions for the congregations are an important example for us of how much we need to take care of ourselves and help others maintain true faith. Even a very spiritual person can stray from the narrow path if they become proud. Then the congregation should help them. However, when they do not want to help themselves, the procedure of exclusion should be followed:

If your brother sins against you, go tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother. But if he won’t listen, take one or two others with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established. If he doesn’t pay attention to them, tell the church. If he doesn’t pay attention even to the church, let him be like a Gentile/pagan (1482) and a tax collector (5057) to you. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 18:15-17.

If the church does not do this, such a self-righteous person will act destructively, will destroy the church, divide the faithful of the church.
It may turn out that the lukewarm person is clever and will hide his condition from others. However, the time of deception will end if he does not make changes in his life.
When God rejects him, then evil spiritual figures will have room to act…
