Judgment – Resurrection. For whom the First, for whom the Second?

In the Bible, God informs us that there is a first resurrection, a second resurrection, and a divine judgment.

Everything is carefully planned. The period of human rule, the period of domination by individual powers, the life of humanity on earth, the end of the activities of God’s enemies, the enemies of humanity. All of this has a beginning and an end.

The beautiful thing about all of this is that we can strive for eternal life:

Life in the Kingdom of God

Let’s see who is in the first resurrection, who is in the second resurrection, and who is in the judgment.

We can distinguish three general groups of people:

Group 1 – Overcomers. The First Resurrection without judgment.

Group 2 – The First Judgment. For people who will live in the Millennial Kingdom on earth.

Group 3 – The Second Resurrection – The Second Judgment. The dead resurrected after a thousand years.

Group 1 – Winners. First Resurrection without Judgment

The first resurrection is for those who accepted the Biblical truth during their lifetime and abide in it. This Biblical truth is not the doctrines or teachings conveyed by religions. These are the teachings of Christ recorded in the Bible. Many people may be surprised to learn that religions have chosen pagan beliefs, doctrines that are not found in Christ’s teachings.

Many people choose traditions, the beliefs of their parents, and the religious message. They are not concerned that the Bible says otherwise. The second resurrection is reserved for them. The first resurrection is a privilege for the humble, for those with open minds, for those who love God and others:

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment/judgment/trial was given to them(1325), and the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Yeshu, and because of the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads or on their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years” – Revelation 20:4.

„The rest of the dead did not live until the thousand years were finished, that is, the first resurrection/resurrection(386). Happy and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power/power/law, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign/reign with Him(936) a thousand years” – Revelation 20:5-6.

„Amen, amen, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has aeon (eternal) life and will not come into condemnation/judgement, but has passed from death to life” – John 5:24.

„He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.” – Revelation 2:11

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

„But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ will all be made alive. But each in his own order: as the firstfruits Christ, then at His coming those who are Christ’s.” – 1 Corinthians 15:20–23

Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.” – 1 Corinthians 15:51–52

Do not harm the land, or the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of those who were sealed: one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the children of Israel” – Revelation 7:3–4.

You will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel” – Luke 22:29–30.

Know ye not that the saints shall judge the world?” – 1 Corinthians 6:2.

For those who live according to the teachings of the Lord Yeshu, there is no condemnation, meaning there is no judgment:

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Yeshu (who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit – in MT). For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Yeshu has set me free from the law of sin and death” – Romans 8:1–2.

Faith in the true name of Christ:

He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” – John 3:18

Let’s note how important the correct name of Christ is. This name is not: Jesus or any other falsified forms.

Faith in Christ and in His true name gives us the privilege of NOT facing God’s judgment.

Here we have people who learned the true faith, rejected religious lies, believed in the true name of Christ, but committed sins. They did not correct themselves, perhaps falling into the trap of the erroneous doctrines of online prophets. However, at some point, they strayed from this false path. They will be punished for their mistakes. Those who did not know some of Christ’s teachings will receive a lesser punishment than those who did know Christ’s teachings:

But the servant who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accordance with his will will receive many beatings. But the one who did not know it and did what deserved a beating will receive few beatings. For to whom much is given, much will be required, and to whom much is entrusted, more will be asked” – Luke 12:47–48.

Group 2 – The First Judgment. For those who will live in the Millennial Kingdom on Earth.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment/sentence/trials(2917) were given(1325) to them…” – Revelation 20:4a.

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

And before Him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on His right hand, and the goats on His left.

Then the King will say to those on His right, ’Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.'” – Matthew 25:31-34

Here we have a description of the first judgment, on the nations that survived the reign of the beast and did not receive the mark of the beast. Note that the judgment in Matthew has different characteristics than the judgment following the thousand-year reign of Christ.

In Matthew:

there is no description of the resurrection,

there are no open books,

there is no judgment of the dead,

there are only the living,

there is no lake of fire, no second death,

there is no new heaven and new earth.

„And they sang a new song, saying, 'You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain and redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and you have made them kings and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.'” – Revelation 5:9-10

To him who overcomes…I will give authority over the nations…he will rule them with a rod of iron” – Revelation 2:26–27.

Blessed are the meek/gentle/lowly, for they will inherit the earth” – Matthew 5:5.

Group 3 – The Second Resurrection – The Second Judgment. The Dead Resurrected After a Thousand Years

After the thousand-year reign of the Son of God, we have the second Judgment. Those who did not qualify for the first resurrection are resurrected for the second Judgment. Based on their actions, words, and beliefs, God will decide whether they will continue living or be sent to the lake of fire:

7When the thousand years were ended…

11And I saw a great white throne, and Him who sat on it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and books were opened; and another book, the book of life, was opened; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.” – Revelation 20:7–12

The hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear the voice of the Son of Man, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.”—John 5:28–29.

And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”—Revelation 20:15.

„Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs/spiritual predators and the pharmacists/sorcerers and the sexually immoral and the murderers and the idolaters/image worshippers and whoever loves and practices lying” – Revelation 22:14-15.

Here we have the evil servant. This is a picture of a man who knew God, but instead of serving Him faithfully, began to abuse his position:

But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, then that servant’s master will come on a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him off and assign him his portion with the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” – Matthew 24:48–51

The foolish virgins knew the true Christ, but chose the trinkets of everyday life. At a certain point, they remembered Christ, but they didn’t truly want to serve Him:

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with Him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

Then came also the other virgins, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’

And He answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’” – Matthew 25:10–12, 23.

Here we have people similar to the foolish virgins. They recognized the true Christ, but chose the path of injustice:

„Someone asked Him, 'Lord, will only a few be saved?’ He said to them, 'Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When the master of the house has risen and shut the door, you will stand outside and knock and say, ’Lord, open to us!’ But He will answer you, 'I do not know where you are from.’ Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank with You, and You taught in our streets.’ But He said, 'I tell you, I do not know where you are from. Depart from Me, all you who practice evil! There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrown out. They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God. So behold, there are those who will be last, and those who will be first, and those who will be last.” – Luke 13:22-30.

Let’s Summarize

Group 1 – Winners. First Resurrection without judgment.

They do not stand in judgment, but have passed from death to life (John 5:24). • They take part in the first resurrection (Revelation 20:5–6).

The second death has no power over them (Revelation 20:6; Revelation 2:11).

They are kings and priests of God, reigning with Christ for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4; Revelation 5:10).

They are “those who overcome,” who have been promised a throne with Christ (Revelation 3:21).

Group 2 – The First Judgment. For people who will live in the Millennial Kingdom on earth.

These are the nations that will pass through the judgment of the nations after the coming of the Son of Man (Matthew 25:31–32).

The “sheep” hear the words, “inherit the kingdom,” and pass vividly into the reign of Christ (Matthew 25:34).

They live on the earth: they build houses, plant vineyards, bear children, and live long in peace (Isaiah 65:20–23).

They come to learn God’s law, and war is replaced by peace (Isaiah 2:2–3; Micah 4:3–4).

Destroyed cities are rebuilt and inhabited again (Ezekiel 36:33–35).

Group 3 – Second Resurrection – Second Judgment. The dead resurrected after a thousand years.

These are the „remaining dead” who did not participate in the first resurrection (Revelation 20:5).

After a thousand years, they stand before the great white throne as the dead raised to Judgment (Revelation 20:11–12).

They are judged according to their deeds, according to what is written in the books (Revelation 20:12).

Anyone not found written in the book of life is thrown into the lake of fire—this is the second death (Revelation 20:14–15).
